Relieve migraine pain with targeted Botulinum injections to reduce nerve-triggered headache frequency and intensity.
Botulinum toxin type A is used to treat migraines through injections into key areas around the face, head and neck, blocking the small nerves that carry pain from the head to the brain, known as C-fibres. This reduces the amount of chemicals released from the nerve endings, reducing the effects and frequency of migraines / headaches experienced. The treatment can be repeated every 12 weeks for optimal results.
